The Legend of Zelda’s Pixel Link is (almost) complete! 🙌 I found a few spots that I want to touch up on with paint. 😅 Plus I need to add a few layers of clear coating. But that will have to wait until after Sunday. 😊 I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. Painting between the crevices was a bit tedious but not nearly as tedious as my pixel Mario build. Can’t wait to get it hung in the garage. ☺️ . I made pixel Link for this month’s @artofgeekchallenge! May's Theme: Blaster Build-Off May's theme for the Art of Geek Challenge was Blaster Build-Off in honor of the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story. Participants had the entire month of May to create something inspired by the blasters from the Star Wars universe. Art of Geek Challenge Official Entry for May: Star Wars Blasters. What you see here is Greedo and Han Solo’s blasters frozen in Carbonite. They are designed to be the size of the original props. I always wondered what happened to Han’s blaster after Darth Vader yanked it out of his hand. My thought is that Boba Fett got Greedo’s gun while he was on Tatooine and then froze it with Han’s gun as a test before they used the machine on Han. The  Art of Geek Challenge  is a monthly, just for fun, geek-themed maker challenge inspired by movies, tv shows, comic books and more.  June's theme: Jurassic Park June's theme for the Art of Geek Challenge was Jurassic Park coinciding with the release of Jurassic Park: Fallen Kingdom.  Participants had the entire month of June to create something inspired by the Jurassic Park universe. Check out the hashtag #aogdino  to view all the Instagram posts for June's challenge. Winners for the challenge are determined by top votes from the community. First Place: @beardedcrabworkshop's giant t-rex skull T-Rex build complete! My official entry for June 2018’s Jurassic Park themed @artofgeekchallenge is a 4’ by 3’ fossilized Tyrannosaurus skull. It’s hand carved from 3/4” Birch plywood. The (almost) life sized design was cobbled together from multiple fossil skulls, the JP logo and a liberal dose of my own imagination.
